Etobicoke York Community Council Public Meeting
Wednesday, June 6, 2018 @ 10:15 am - 12:00 pm
On June 6th, Etobicoke York Community Council will receive input and review the draft amendment, and make recommendations which will then be forwarded to Toronto City Council for its consideration in late June.
You’re invited to attend this public meeting to make your views known regarding the proposal. You may also submit written comments. To assist with scheduling, you are requested to call the City Clerk’s Office if you plan to make comments at the meeting. For all the important details, please be sure to read the Notice of Public Meeting and the Draft: Amendment No 419 to the Official Plan
We’re urging you to attend this meeting. So many community members showed up for the OMB pre-hearings earlier this year and we’re counting on you once again to make your voice heard.
On May 7th, The High Park Apartment Neighbourhood Character Study Working Group held its’ final meeting. The study assessed the physical character of the area and developed a policy framework to guide future change and compatible infill development, and with the feedback provided by the working group, produced the Draft: Amendment No 419 to the Offical Plan.
Thank you to members of the community who participated in the city-run meetings and provided valuable feedback to the process. Also, thank you to Allison Reid, Senior Urban Designer, Elisabeth Silva Stewart, Planner and Jennifer Renaud, Planner and other City staff whose diligent research, consultation and preparation produced detailed analysis and thoughtful recommendations for our neighbourhood.
We’d also like to thank our City Councillor, Sarah Doucette for her dedication and for making the needs of our community a priority.
See you Wednesday night!
